Compassion with structure.

Help that works.

Loveland has spent millions trying to fix homelessness without fixing the system. Motel vouchers, shelters, cleanups. They cost a fortune and solve nothing.

It’s time for a structured approach that helps people rebuild while keeping parks and neighborhoods safe.

My approach: Intake, Assess, Placement, Program.

HOMES - NOT HAMMOCKS

    • Costly short-term fixes drain the budget.

    • Encampments return after shelters close.

    • The city duplicates services that the county already provides.

    • No coordination across Larimer County means wasted money and mixed results.

True compassion means helping people rebuild, not letting them stay stuck.

  • Create a short-term local center for immediate assessment and shelter. Everyone gets a first step toward help, not a free pass to camp in public spaces.

  • Evaluate each individual’s needs, medical, mental health, addiction recovery, job readiness, elderly care, or disability services. One-size-fits-all doesn’t work.

  • Connect people with existing county or regional programs. Loveland doesn’t need to reinvent or fund what already exists.

  • Provide structured follow-up through recovery programs, housing partnerships, and job training that leads to self-sufficiency.

The goal is independence, not dependency.

Homes - Not Hammocks is grounded in compassion, built on accountability, and designed to move people forward, not keep them stuck.
